AXIS has long offered an extraordinarily bespoke format for skydiving and tunnel training. In contrast to other schools and coaching entities, AXIS focuses on its students’ level of proficiency, rather than signing someone off merely for attending a course. Therefore, the AXIS training method is guided by a philosophy.

The AXIS Pathfinder Philosophy

Every skydiver has a unique relationship to the sport they love and therefore derives pleasure from their own definition of success. AXIS Flight School is for those who enjoy improving their skills and being exposed to new experiences. Through the implementation of a custom-tailored training program, AXIS coaches act as pathfinders who co-designs the customer’s experience with their clients. These custom curricula not only check the boxes of the world’s various skydiving clubs but help meet their own personal goals. To achieve a desired long-term goal, an effective training strategy will include S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Relevant, and Time-bound) short-term goals with concrete objectives that are needed. When done right, skill development keeps things fun and interesting. To define and celebrate each achievement along the path, AXIS developed the badges system.

AXIS Badges

AXIS has created badges for one central purpose: to help their customers create their own, highly individual definition of success. As there are no ratings or licenses within the USPA for many of the services we provide we came up with a system based on proficiency, knowledge and skill rather than attendance. To frame it as a metaphor, our badges are set up like a collectible card game. By mastering the skills set laid out in the training, you can create your own "Skill Deck". Each person's deck is unique in that each skydiver can create the collection that best benefits them and what they are after in the sport.
